Where do you see your musical career in 5 years?
Hopefully on a big Prevost bus and selling out a dive bar tour.
Are there any instruments you don’t play but wish you did? Why?
I wish I could play pedal steel. I have heard It’s one of the hardest instruments to learn but I think it would be a good challenge because I play almost every other string instrument.
What was the best advice you have received?
“I realized early on that success was tied to not giving up. Most people in this business gave up and went on to other things. If you simply didn’t give up, you would outlast the people who came in on the bus with you.” ~ Harrison Ford
What advice would you give to yourself at the start of your musical career?
Your chasing the most rewarding dream job in the world, just remember why your pursuing it and don’t forget the people who have helped you along the way.
Where does most of your inspiration come from?
Honestly a love for music, I always have a guitar in my hand when I am at home and as many shows as we play on the road, sometimes it feels weird when I don’t have one in my hand.
What do you consider to be your biggest achievement in your career so far?
Definitely getting to do business with my awesome agent who has definitely helped my career.
What’s on the horizon for you that you would like to share?
I released my first single “We Drink Beer” music video last week and that was cool to see how much work and time goes into filming something like that. We still have a bunch of tour dates this year, so look out for us on my website garrettspeer.com
