Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, George Strait
How do you see country music evolving within 10 years?
I see a resurgence in the older style of country music and moving away from “bro country”.
Where do you see your musical career in 5 years?
Hopefully flourishing! Playing bigger venues and more importantly helping carry the torch for authentic country music.
Are there any instruments you don’t play but wish you did? Why?
Drums….. Ever since I was little I have always been impressed by drums and those that have the talent to play them. I just have not had the opportunity to learn.
What was the best advice you have received?
Stay humble and be true to yourself and your music.
What advice would you give to yourself at the start of your musical career?
You can’t let negativity distract you from your goals. There will always be those who love you and those who don’t. Stay true to what you believe and follow your passion. Always surround yourself with supportive people whether it be family or friends.
Where does most of your inspiration come from?
Life experiences and the people I get to experience life with.
What do you consider to be your biggest achievement in your career so far?
Releasing my first album “First Rodeo” at the same time while I was playing 3 shows in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay Resort for the 2018 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
What’s on the horizon for you that you would like to share?
I have many shows booked in 2019 along with a radio tour. I also have my first headline show booked for March 23 in Clovis, NM. I also have 2 shows booked in Israel, yes Israel. They are scheduled for the last week in May and first week of June. I believe I may be the first Texas country artist to play shows in Israel. What an honor!
