Country singer Jesse Daniel recently released a new single titled “Bringin’ Home the Roses”, available for purchase or stream.
Jesse was unquestionably influenced by the Bakersfield sound and by Buck Owens in particular as you can hear on “Bringin’ Home the Roses”. The delay between each word in the line “So…I’m…bringin'” takes a page out of “I’ve Got a Tiger by The Tail”. In comparison to Jesse’s older songs, you can hear the growth but make no mistake, his current sound has no polish.
“Bringin’ Home the Roses” displays Jesse’s knack for storytelling on this upbeat, classic country song. His entire catalog thus far breathes life into a retro sound that is crisp, raw and sorely missed in commercial radio.
