What country music artists do you listen to the most?
I listen to everyone really, country and non country, depends on mood…I love rascal flatts that can be 24/7 and kenny Cheney when I am in a chill mood…i love Michael Buble and jazz as well…jazz clubs are an amazing time
How do you see country music evolving within 10 years?
It has come a long way already with so many subgenres of country music which is really neat for growing new fans! I think it will continue to get popular and be the music of our nation.
Where do you see your musical career in 5 years?
Well this is my 8th year in the music business and in 5 years I definitely think a AMA or CMA appearance or award would be nice! I have visited the Opry and seen many shows there so a performance there as well would also be a major dream come true.
Are there any instruments you don’t play but wish you did? Why?
I play drums guitar and piano…BUT I WANT to play fiddle and steel guitar! My fiddle and steel guitarist are so incredibly talented and I love watching them play flawlessly! Definitely 2 of my favorite instruments.
What was the best advice you have received?
Do what you love and love what you do…and just do it for you… when people see your passion and love for life and whatever goals you set out to accomplish, it goes viral and is reactive… i am all about positivity and teaching my boys that when you work hard and love what you do you will be rewarded by the fulfillment in your heart.
Where does most of your inspiration come from?
Everyday life…being a new mama…being an army wife…I don’t really look to the past I am more of a in the moment and future person…also from stories people tell me and random moments…
What do you consider to be your first big break in your career so far?
In 2015 performing at TASTE OF COUNTRY music fest in NY and opening for Tim McGraw was a huge milestone… also being on fox 5 talent show STAR OF THE DAY and being a finalist on there…there have been numerous over 8 years and I count each as important as the next…
What’s on the horizon for you that you would like to share?
My 6th radio single has been streaming off the charts and hit 100,000 streams on spotify this month! My 7th single will be releasing in a few months! My new merchandise line with Whiskey river dry goods company in Illinois has been launched and is available at http://www.nikkibriar.com/merchandise
My 2019 tour will kick off in Nashville TN and I look forward to sharing more music with fans and of course my baby boys who love music and traveling with mama.
